I know you are with me today, Lord.
I can hear you in the things I’m learning
like a clear bell ringing in the distance
I see you in the affirmation of a smile,
and I know that you’ve sent others ahead
to help guide me
I know you are with me today, Lord.
I can feel you in the embrace of a friend
An embrace that’s warm, yet firm
with strength behind it
from being tested by life’s trials
Teach me what you’ve shown them
I know you are with me today, Lord.
Stay near
Stay close
Watch over those that I love
Help me not be afraid to take the next step
Nudge me, if you have to
I know you are with me today, Lord.
